High Scores Reported

Time Period from July 2005 through September 2005.

Perfection at bridge is impossible. We all know how true this is. Even 70%+ games are a rarity, so it is news worthy when they occur. It's usually a 70%-er that wins nationally tallied match point events when thousands of tables are in play, but many times a score of 65% or better is good enough. Frequent tournament players, familiar with playing in 13+ table sections with 12 top and a 156 average, find that a 70% game is 218.4, or an average of 8.4 match points per hand. Such high scoring games are usually a fortuitous combination of good play and good luck. High scoring games that occur between issues of the RECAP will be collected here and reported 3-4 times per year.
