Share Doris Ekedahl, 79, beloved wife, mother and grandmother,
passed away Jan. 14, 2009. Doris was born on July 11, 1929 in Malta, Mont., to Mary
(Jorgensen) and James Miller. She married LeRoy Ekedahl on Oct. 9, 1948 in
Malta, where she worked as a cashier at JC Penney. The couple later moved to
Atlanta, Georgia, where they lived for 22 years. There, Doris was a homemaker
and also held administrative positions at Green and Sons Brokerage and
Spencer-Stuart Company. Doris and LeRoy moved to Fort Collins in 1995 to be closer
to family, where she was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church, where
she led the Naomi-Ruth Circle. She was also active in the Celiac Sprue
Association. Doris was a Silver Life Master bridge player and a member
of the Northern Colorado Bridge Association. She also had many other hobbies,
including shopping, golf, tennis, traveling and painting. Doris is survived by her husband, LeRoy, of Fort Collins;
a son, Andy Ekedahl, and his wife, Cindy, of Eden Prairie, MN; a daughter,
Jody Eckes, and her husband, Dennis, of Sinclair, Wyo.; a brother, Clifford
Miller, of Stevensville, MT; and two granddaughters, Lindsay Woznick, and her
husband, Tim, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Kelly Eckes, of Laramie, Wyo. She was
preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Miller. A memorial service will be held at 11, Saturday, Jan. 17,
2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Celiac Sprue
